Dental Treatment

Our primary concern at Ridgemount Dental is the dental health of our patients. Over the years, we have developed experience in all aspects of dental care and are able to offer a wide range of treatment options.

Examinations

During a routine examination, Dr. Kumar will thoroughly check the teeth and gums for any potential problems. Patients are also encouraged to discuss any concerns they may have about their dental health.

During an examination of a new patient, X-rays will also be taken to ensure there are no underlying problems.

Topical fluoride application

Topical fluorides are applied to the teeth to make the surface more resistant to the acid produced by bacteria. They also promote the remineralisation of decayed areas which may reverse the decay process and prevent the need for a filling.

Scale and polish

We provide a scale and polish treatment with our hygienist which removes any plaque and tartar deposits that have built up over time. This treatment leaves the mouth fresh and teeth sparkling.

Referrals

Whilst we offer a wide variety of treatments, in some cases it may be necessary to refer patients to colleagues who have specific qualifications in certain types of treatment, for example tooth straightening.

In the case of orthodontics, patients can be referred to a consultant orthodontist either for free, covered under the NHS, or privately.
